Documentary collection

A modality of payment, based on commercial and/or financial documents and instructions from the exporter in order to obtain payment for goods delivered within concrete contractual relations with external partners.

Advantages

  • Safety that the importer will not get these documents and goods earlier than after making the payment according to the instructions
  • Does not require blocking of monetary resources
  • Additional protection offered by implementation of international norms

How it works

  • Exporter delivers goods and instructs the bank to submit commercial and/or financial documents to importer's bank
  • Importer's bank will not release the documents until the importer does not pay or agree to pay according to the instructions
